One year old!

Alice is now one! And she's still not sleeping through the night, so I can say for sure that I have not gotten a full night's sleep in over a year! YAY!

She is getting better. She got a new tooth the other day and it seems another is coming, but generally we're down to 1-2 wakeups a night, and she doesn't nurse too long during that time. And right now, I'm just getting over mastitis (infection due to a blocked duct), so the more she nurses, the better.

We have also introduced cow's milk, along with soy, because we don't buy cow's milk that often, and she's drinking that with meals. She's not great with cups yet, but it is there. She's eating most foods we give her pretty well. Today since Jane is on break we went into the city centre to have lunch with Andy. The weather has been bad and I've been sick, so we haven't gotten outside as much as Jane needs. So at least we walked to the bus stop and around a bit before lunch.

Birthday cupcake!

Jane got a unicorn cupcake decorating set

Alice loves playing in our (unused) fireplace.
"No, there was no buttercream left."
We got a kitchen hutch a few weeks ago. It took a few days to assemble. Alice helped.

An outfit from Grandpa John and Grandma Karen. Every time she's worn it, I haven't managed to get a picture before she needed to be changed out of it. It's cute!
 Puzzles
 A book for big sister

 Badger badger badger badger!

Magnet + washing machine = Yes.
GF peanut butter cookies (the one that's just peanut butter, egg, brown sugar) rolled in sesame seeds. Better cooled than fresh out of the oven.

 Playing at a friend's house
After trying a coffeeshop today and finding out their hot cocoa wasn't gluten free, we went to our favorite neighborhood place and got Jane a GF chocolate croissant.

 I think she liked it.
